Grab Some Luck this St. Patrick's Day

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in a kid-friendly way with these felt play food items packed with glitter shamrocks and rainbows.

After the past year that we've had, I think we could all use a bit of Irish luck!  March 17th is St. Patrick's Day, which is the time we focus on all things green and glittery!  I am very excited to bring you some felt foods with shamrocks and rainbows.  Grab your box of Lucky Charms cereal and let's dive in!

What's better than a stacked rainbow cake?  A cake you can stack yourself!  Whether your child thinks the rainbow should start with purple on the bottom or red on the bottom, they can make their own cake their own way.  My kids like to stack the colorful cake pieces with lots of frosting between them to make sandwich cookies or do silly things like make a whole cake out of frosting.  This set comes with a white frosting bag for piping on lots of yummy frosting between the layers.

The 3 inch diameter cake layers can also be stacked separately to make fun and interesting patterns.  In fact, the cake comes with a stack of printed pattern cards, so kids can work on matching their creations to the card's "recipe."  I love this set so much because of all the creativity it allows your child to explore.  Plus, each piece is very soft if the pieces get stepped on or thrown.

During Christmas, I received a request from a customer to make a St. Patrick's Day mug.  The white 3 inch tall mug features a glitter green four leaf clover on the front and a floating clover-shaped "marshmallow" in the hot chocolate.  You can also order your mug with a chocolate cupcake featuring dark green frosting and a 7-stripe rainbow.  They make an adorable pair, and I'm sure your child will love them!

It's probably not a surprise that I added a shamrock cookie to my circle cut out cookie collection.  This one comes with a light yellow frosted background and a green shamrock made out of shed-free glitter felt.  If you bought any of my other cookie sets, the dough piece is the same, so you can just order the cookies by themselves.

I'm very excited to add the removable cupcake wrappers onto the rainbow cupcakes.  You can get the rainbow plaid one that is pictured above or a white one with green shamrocks.  Get a half dozen in a metal cupcake tin for a fun gift set or classroom play kitchen accessory.

What else should I add to the collection?  Come back soon to see the Easter/Springtime products!
