I Scream for (Felt) Ice Cream

Memorial Day weekend in the USA is the official kick-off to summer and the unofficial beginning of ice cream season!  Lucky for you, I have lots of felt food choices and other fun ideas to help you celebrate!  I even have free printables to make your pretend play even better!

Can anyone resist hot fudge sundaes?  This set comes with 2 scoops of ice cream (one is flat to fill the bowl), a brightly colored bowl, and matching spoon.  The top scoop has chocolate fudge sauce and features a cherry on top.  You can also use any of the scoops from the cone listing below to create bowls of ice cream in different flavors.

All these ice cream felt foods could use a bit of accessories to encourage pretend play.  Maybe your kids could serve their frozen treats from a Food Truck Playhouse or set up a shop with an Ice Cream Counter.  If you're not excited to buy my wool-blend felt food, you can buy a Melissa and Doug Ice Cream Set or even an Ice Cream Chalk Set.  Add a few Wood Popsicles and an Ice Cream Machine, then you're in business.  Be sure to grab my FREE printables from further down this page to make play time even better!

Of course, I cream fun doesn't just have to be pretend play.  You can enjoy a real ice cream treat in a Reusable Cone Bowl or mix up some yummy custom flavors with an old fashioned ice cream maker and serve it in these Ice Cream Bowls with Spoons.  If you love to play games as a family, check out this I Scream Card Game or the Ice Cream Stacking Game.  Lastly, show off your love of frozen treats with this Ice Cream Pen and curl up for a movie in this Ice Cream Cone Sleeping Bag.  Hope you found lots of things to make your summer ice cream season even better!

Maybe you need an ice cream treat that's a bit more portable.  This ice cream sandwich is for you.  Make with layers of chocolate cookie and ice cream, this treat will never melt or go bad.  Yum!

And now for my magnum opus!  The main event of the ice cream shop is this cone stand (message me for custom colors and themes) filled with 3 yummy ice cream cones.  The scoops come in 9 flavors including cookie dough, coffee, and mint chip.  Order one or all 9 of them for your ice cream shop and chose from 3 different cone varieties- chocolate dipped, plain, and chocolate dipped with nuts.  You can also get a jar of pretend hot fudge with a chocolate covered spoon.  I'm sure I'll add more to the collection soon.

When I was making all these different ice cream flavors, I decided that what we really needed was some FREE printables!  I made 2 versions of this pack- one with pink stripes and one with sprinkles.  Both sets include a large order board (8.5x11), menus (8.5x5.5), a shop sign, matching cone wraps, and play money.  Just print and play!  Add them to a few ice cream cones for a great birthday gift.

This printable is a subscriber special for those who sign up for my newsletter.  To join the group and get access to the printables, exclusive offers, coupons, and new content, click on the link and follow the prompts.

I recommend printing the PDF on cardstock and laminating it for durability.  Then, cut out the pieces and start playing with them.  When you're done playing, you can store the pieces in a large zip top bag for another day.

*Please respect the work that went into this project and don't steal it.  Share this blog post, not the PDF file.  Thanks*
